Overview
Spices are judged on aroma, colour and cleanliness, and those properties move with the crop and the origin. Dheera imports spices from major producing countries to supplement Indian supply, and trades them domestically against buyer-stated parameters rather than a single standing grade.
Whole spices are supplied to buyers who grind in-house, as well as to wholesalers and packers. Grade, cleaning level and packing are agreed in writing before any lot is shipped.
